How we build software at Laerdal
You’ll work in cross functional product teams where engineers have a real voice in both product direction and technical decisions. We prioritize solid engineering practices enabling teams to ship with confidence, maintain high quality, and continuously improve.

Laerdal is currently hiring for two innovative, cutting-edge tech products. Join us in Stavanger, Norway, to bring your unique skills to life and develop solutions that truly matter.
Team #1: QCPR apps
The team is responsible for developing and evolving Laerdal’s Quality CPR ecosystem, delivering solutions that support high-quality CPR training through real-time feedback, performance measurement, and data-driven insights. Its work spans professional healthcare education and simulation environments as well as broader public-facing initiatives that promote engagement, learning, and confidence in life-saving skills.
By combining mobile/web applications, Laerdal hardware devices, and cloud-based services, the team creates scalable, intuitive, and reliable experiences that help improve resuscitation outcomes across a wide range of users.
Team #2: SimGo
The team is responsible to deliver Laerdal’s next-generation mobile simulation controller, offering a modern, intuitive handheld solution for healthcare educators in nursing schools. It features a redesigned user interface, secure data handling, interoperability with other Laerdal products, compliance with accessibility standards and enhanced usability for novice users.
Developed with continuous user feedback from nurse educators and sim techs, SimGo aims at accelerating simulation-based healthcare education by providing easy controls for both high and low-fidelity settings with flexibility and scalability.
What you’ll do
Drive software from discovery, design, and initial idea all the way to production, using customer feedback loops to continuously iterate and evolve the product.
Make an impact on Laerdal’s architecture and design
Practice engineering hygiene: testing, code reviews, documentation, CI/CD
Contribute to improve quality, performance, and developer experience
Who you are
You are an effective communicator who adapts easily to changing situations, demonstrates resilience, leverages your expertise to address challenges, takes initiative with enthusiasm, and consistently prioritize risk awareness and safety in your work.
Core profile
Professional software development experience (2+ years)
We welcome both mid-level and senior candidates. The final level will be assessed during the interview
At least a BSc in a relevant engineering discipline
Enthusiastic about modern development principles
Including but not limited to creating tests and documentation
Software development lifecycle
Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams in a multinational setting
Proficient in English (written and spoken)
Technologies you will work with
C#-.NET MAUI
Integrations, APIs, BLE
Distributed systems, databases, noSQL, azure, databricks,
GitHub, Jira
You get us extra excited if you have experience with:
React / React native app development
Previous experience in the medical field or other regulated environment.
