For sale: 3rd generation iPod Classic, 40GB model, brand new battery installed! Comes complete with original dock, FireWire charging brick and FireWire to 30-pin charging cable. I will also include a USB to 30-pin cable for easy syncing with your computer (not pictured). The iPod and accessories have been thoroughly tested: everything works as expected. 🎵
Th 3rd gen iPod was originally released in early 2003. This 40GB model was announced later that same year and at that point it was the largest capacity iPod money could buy. The 3rd gen was the first iPod with the 30-pin connector and the only iPod Classic to feature a fully non-mechanical interface (all buttons are touch sensitive, no clicky buttons).
The battery on this unit has been replaced with a brand new, high quality aftermarket battery. A requirement at this point if you want to actually use the iPod, with original batteries now well over 20 years old. The iPod shows some signs of use (surface scratches), but is overall in great functional condition ("pent brukt", see also pictures). Works entirely as expected.
Included: original Apple dock/charging stand, FireWire charger and cable, USB to 30-pin syncing cable. The 3rd gen iPod will only charger via FireWire so the charger is essential (they are getting more difficult to find every year). Here you have everything you might need to get going, just add headphones and music!
