The LongAmp Roxanne pedal is a custom, handmade effect by LongAmp pedal wizard Tom Knapik in Wroclaw, Poland. It's the ultimate copy of the classic, vintage EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress flanger, with the 100% original MN3007 analog circuit chip that Andy Summers preferred. The Roxanne pedal is made with highest quality components, and is true bypass via the 3PDT switch, meaning that your signal will remain original and untouched when the pedal is off. Works great with your bass or synth rig as well.
The Roxanne is an exact sounding clone of the famous Electric Mistress analog flanger, used by Andy Summers of The Police, complete with the graphics from The Police's 1981 album Ghost in the Machine! This guitar pedal gives you that deep, rich, full sweeping vintage analog flanger sound. Think "Message in the Bottle" and "Walking on the Moon". Not only the Roxanne does an excellent Summers, it will get you to all places Gilmour as well (think of the album "The Wall").
The Roxanne comes equipped with an internal trimmer to adjust the overall output of the pedal. This trimmer takes care of the volume drop issues commonly associated with the vintage Electric Mistress. You can also run the Roxanne at 9V or 12V, depending on how much headroom you’re after.
The controls here for the Roxanne work like the Electric Mistress: set the toggle to Matrix to activate the “filter matrix” setting, which allows you to stop the sweep of the flange and use the Rate control to dial it in to a “sweet spot”. In Flange mode, Rate controls the speed of the modulation. Feedback adds that special “whoosh” that flangers are known for into your signal. Range has a couple of uses: in Flange mode, it sets the lower limit of the pitch sweep, but in Matrix mode, it adjusts the filter matrix.
