We at Grand Café in Oslo are looking for a full-time pastry chef to join our kitchen team.
Located in the heart of Oslo, Grand Café is a historic and vibrant restaurant known for its classic dishes, lively atmosphere, and high standards across all parts of the kitchen. Grand Café is part of Fursetgruppen, one of Oslo’s leading hospitality groups, offering strong opportunities for development and growth within the company.
We are now looking to strengthen our pastry section with a skilled and motivated pastry chef who wants to be part of a professional and dynamic team.
As a pastry chef at Grand Café, you will:
- Prepare desserts, pastries, and cakes for à la carte service and events
- Ensure all mise-en-place is ready for smooth and efficient service
- Follow recipes and routines to maintain consistent quality
- Contribute to the development of new desserts and seasonal menus
- Maintain cleanliness and structure at your station in line with kitchen standards
You will also:
- Work closely with the head chef and kitchen team
- Take responsibility for ordering and handling ingredients within your section
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of products
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience as a pastry chef or from a similar role
- Speaks English (Norwegian is a plus, but not required)
- Has a structured and responsible work style
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Is creative and takes pride in their craft
- Works well in a team
