System Integration Test Engineer

An incredible opportunity awaits you as Lead System Integration Test Engineer in the Technology Platforms business unit of Kongsberg Maritime. You will play a key role in our dynamic Integration & System Test department, whose goal is to integrate and test all our Platforms and Products in various constellations ensuring our highly complex systems are World Class!

The platforms provide shared structure, governance, and expertise, facilitating seamless integration, security, and faster time-to-market for new products and services.

The perfect candidate is a system thinker with a deep interest in system development. You enjoy building your understanding of our systems, troubleshooting integration challenges, and collaborating with colleagues to build high quality, reliable system solutions. You are able to think strategically, make plans and implement them and you enjoy working with physical hardware. You take ownership and make things happen by creating engagement and building your internal network. In addition, you need to have a tester mindset, and you are always looking for trouble and identifying risks in our goals to make world class products and deliver on time.

This specific position will be responsible for the overall Integration Test Strategy and its implementation in our OT Platform domain.

What you will be doing
Define integration test strategies for complex systems in collaboration with senior architects
Design, establish and maintain test environments (hardware and software) used for integration testing
Integrate sub-systems in the integration and system test environments
Support and guide other teams in integration and test activities on all test levels
Contribute to the wider integration and test community in Kongsberg Maritime
Always strive for continuous improvements

We think you should have
Bachelor or Master level in engineering related subjects combined with the right experience and an interest in complex systems development
Several years of experience in software development, preferably being involved in system engineering or test related activities
Experience with physical test environments (devices and networks)
Experience with programming, specifically python is an advantage
Experience with maritime systems is an advantage
Experience with DevOps methodologies is an advantage
Good communication skills
