Interesting read for anyone who grew up in Bosque County area or any of the original settlements of the Norwegian immigrants. This author was way ahead of her times, with her expressions of women’s rights and opportunities for self-sufficiency and independence. She was quite the letter writer and documented so many details of farm life from 1850 to 1894.
