Regional Sales Manager – Defence

Frequentis is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to further develop and grow our defence business.
The Nordic & Baltics region is a key growth market for Frequentis, driven by increased focus on airspace security, defence cooperation, NATO integration and integrated, platform-based defence solutions.
About the role
As Regional Sales Manager - Defence, you will take ownership of sales and strategic business development towards defence customers in the region. You will work closely with defence organisations, partners and Frequentis’ international organisation, positioning Frequentis as a long-term strategic partner.
This is a senior sales role with responsibility for complex solution sales, long sales cycles and high-level stakeholder management within defence and military environments.
Your primary responsibilities will be to:
Lead and develop defence-related business across Nordic & Baltics, including expansion of existing accounts and acquisition of new customers
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in defence organisations
Identify customer needs and translate operational defence requirements into value-based, integrated solution offerings
Actively lead and contribute to bid and tender processes, guiding Offer Teams to ensure competitive, customer-focused and high-quality proposals
Collaborate closely with defence product specialists, Domain Sales Managers and international stakeholders
Represent Frequentis at relevant defence, aviation and industry events, trade fairs and conferences
Contribute to the development and execution of regional sales strategy
To be successful in the role, we believe you have the following background and experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
Proven track record in solution sales within the defence sector
Strong understanding of defence markets, procurement processes and stakeholder environments
Experience with complex IT, communication, surveillance and/or mission-critical systems
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Background from defence organisations or armed forces is an advantage, but not a requirement
Willingness to travel within the Nordic & Baltics region and occasionally to Frequentis headquarters in Vienna
