Considering selling my dream bass. 2007 Fender CS 1955 precision bass limited edition, relic. All covers included, certificate of authenticity, and case. Contoured ash body, quartersawn maple V-neck, reverse tuners. Extremely comfortable and easy to play neck, even though it has a thick V profile. The bass is lightweight but very resonant (around 3.6/3.7 kg.)
It smells 🙃, feels, sounds, looks, and plays really fantastically. The relic looks very realistic. It was a slight touch from the factory and naturally aged through the years. I installed a Kloppmann PB 55 pickup and it sounds fantastic with La Bella's flatwounds. The pickup is extremely good and dynamic, sits very nicely in the mix, and gives you a recognizable “woody and warm” sound. The original pickup from the custom shop is included and was in service in Edmire music. Also, the bass was in service at Lars Dalin. New bone nut, frets were leveled, polished, and crowned. Lars removed the ski jump and leveled all other frets. Plays smoothly and the action is fairly low. I also restored wiring to the original specs.
