Shaping the future of sustainable aquaculture
BioMar is looking for a Sustainability Analyst for a full-time position based in Trondheim. In this role, you will contribute to BioMar’s global sustainability work by producing credible, science-based environmental assessments and supporting improvement initiatives across the value chain.
A key role in BioMar’s global sustainability team
We are seeking a Sustainability Analyst to lead environmental impact assessments for raw materials, feed products and customers. In addition, we would like this team member to be a trusted technical expert that can ensure adherence to leading environmental standards, guidelines and research developments. We would also like this team member to lead projects on areas such as biodiversity protection and regenerative agriculture within BioMar’s supply chain.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across sustainability, sourcing, sales, R&D, and manufacturing, working in a truly international and cross-functional environment.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and perform environmental impact assessments using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
Ensure high quality of sustainability data, including data collection, validation, and reporting
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines (e.g. LCA standards and PEF guidelines)
Support and contribute to BioMar’s global sustainability strategies and initiatives
Lead or contribute to projects related to biodiversity protection and regenerative agriculture
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a candidate with strong sustainability expertise who is motivated by applying analytical skills in a role with real-world impact.
Must-have qualifications:
Master’s degree in Sustainability Science, Industrial Ecology, or a related field
Proven experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
Experience using LCA software such as SimaPro or similar tools
Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have:
Knowledge of PEF guidelines and carbon accounting frameworks (GHG Protocol, SBTi, etc.)
Knowledge of agriculture, raw material production, or biodiversity
