Why is this comic book valuable?
Batman #113 is an extremely important Batman comic for DC fans. This issue features the legendary story “The Batman of Planet-X!” where Batman travels to an alien world where he has all the power that Superman has on Earth. Decades later, when Grant Morrison takes over the Batman series he will make use of much of this issues themes—including the name of Planet-X “Zur En Arrh.”
History
Having observed Batman's every action on Earth through a powerful telescope, a benevolent scientist named Tlano was inspired to play the same role on his home planet of Zur-En-Arrh. When his world came under attack by robot invaders from another world, Tlano teleported Batman from Earth to help in the fight, knowing that on Zurr-En-Arrh, the Caped Crusader would have powers equivalent to those of Superman.
