Principal Engineer Electrical

We are looking for Principal Electrical Engineer to strengthen our EITA department in Asker.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in leading electrical system design and ensuring high‑quality technical deliveries across Study, FEED and EPC project phases. The role involves taking responsibility for both high‑ and low‑voltage electrical systems, including system definition, specification and design, as well as providing technical leadership in the capacity of System Lead, Discipline Lead or Team Lead. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to secure effective interfaces and alignment across project activities, while maintaining compliance with applicable industry standards, safety requirements and project specifications.

You will contribute to the development of electrical philosophies, strategies, topologies and system documentation such as single‑line diagrams, load lists, system descriptions and PMS/PDCS solutions. The position includes performing and following up system calculations, analyses and technical assessments, as well as facilitating and participating in reviews, workshops and stakeholder meetings. A strong focus on digitalisation and continuous improvement is expected, and you will take an active role in enhancing engineering methodologies and work processes through modern digital tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within electrical engineering
• Experience from electrical lead roles and system design activities
• Strong background in conceptual and detailed engineering for large‑scale projects
• Proven experience in electrical system design and distribution at both LV and HV levels
• Deep knowledge of the regulatory frameworks governing our industry.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
