Product Marketing Manager - Shipping
About the Role
We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to strengthen StormGeo’s Shipping domain, covering solution areas such as weather routing and voyage optimization, route planning and navigation, emissions reporting, vessel performance, and bunker management. You will bring clarity, insight, and compelling storytelling to our shipping portfolio, helping our target audiences understand how StormGeo can help them operate more safely, efficiently, and sustainably at sea.
You will be part of a collaborative global marketing team, working closely with product managers, domain experts, and marketing teams across Europe, the Americas, and APAC. You will play a key role in defining, positioning, and communicating the value of StormGeo’s shipping solutions and services worldwide.
In this role, you will shape product narratives, drive market adoption, and ensure our value proposition is clearly understood and recognized across key shipping segments and markets.
📍The preferred location for this position is Oslo, Norway. Other StormGeo office locations may be considered for the right candidate.
Main Responsibilities
- Craft product positioning and messaging: Translate unique product capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with global shipping audiences, including shipowners, operators, and charterers.
- Drive global go-to-market initiatives: Plan and execute launch campaigns, promotions, and always on programs in close collaboration with domain experts, regional marketers, product managers, and PR and media relations.
- Support sales enablement: Create high-impact sales enablement assets, such as sales kits, presentations, value messaging, battle cards, and training to help sales teams clearly communicate value and win new customers.
- Market and customer insight: Continuously analyze and ensure a deep understanding of customer personas, operational challenges, regulatory drivers, competitive landscape, and market shifts within the shipping industry.
- Customer voice and roadmap input: Gather customer feedback through interviews, surveys, and sales input, and feed insights into our domain, product development, and marketing plans.
- Content and channel strategy: Drive the creation and activation of shipping-related content such as website content, landing pages, insight articles, social media content, and campaign assets across digital channels, email campaigns, webinars and events, supporting awareness and demand generation.
- Performance and data insight: Use HubSpot and analytics tools, define KPIs, monitor campaign and feature adoption metrics, and adapt GTM strategies based on market feedback and analytics.
- Accelerate AI-augmented marketing: Advance the adoption of current GenAI tools and help accelerate the implementation of GenAI in actual product marketing workflow.
Core Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in B2B product marketing, ideally within shipping, maritime, or related industries.
- Solid understanding of maritime operations, shipping markets, and digital services supporting voyage planning, routing, and fleet performance.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot preferred).
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable marketing decisions.
- Collaborative working style, with experience partnering across functions such as sales, product, and commercial teams.
- Curiosity and openness to adopting AI-assisted tools to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
