We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR team in Oslo on a project basis.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR team in Oslo on a project basis.
You have a service mindset and working globally in a complex and changing environment gets you excited. You have the drive to be in control and to optimize payroll processes. As an ambassador for data accuracy and integrity, you will independently manage an employee's payroll experience for several countries from beginning to end with the full accountability. You will help align to global standards and execute of corporate strategies with an expectation to make suggestions to simplify and improve current payroll processes within Nordic countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing payroll for different Nordic countries such as Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway
Processing changes
Implement improvements
Journal entries
Reconciliation with the HR System (e.g. Workday)
Manage relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
Work on different Payroll platforms like Workday, Safeguard etc.
Manage daily responsibilities through the payroll cycle with accountability and ownership
Responsible for compliance adherence in countries you support
Handle escalations of employee queries through Topdesk tickets with an expectation to provide a high calibre service to employees utilizing consistent global standards
Work with a continuous improvement mindset
Preparation, review and maintenance of SOP’s, Guidelines and Checklist for all payroll related processes
Ensure high levels of accuracy of payroll results whilst identifying, documenting, and escalating all issues in relation to payroll or data quality and timeliness
Support local, and regional payroll teams on projects related to Payroll
Vendor Management – Proactively manage payroll related vendors, ensuring productive and transparent relationship
Work with internal stakeholders, to move towards the global way of working, when it comes to Payroll processing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or Accounting
Fluent in English & Norwegian
Demonstrable affinity with payroll matters
Proven experience in managing Nordic countries Payroll.
Proven ability to appropriately handle sensitive information required. Must have a high degree of accuracy and a customer-service approach.
Minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in payroll processing.
Experience in payroll compliances is mandatory.
Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
Working knowledge of payroll software, Workday
Must have the ability to adhere to deadlines
Strong communicator and team player
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving, and demanding environment.
