Glamox Marine Offshore Wind is seeking a System Engineer to join our Solutions department. You’ll be central to both bid and delivery—designing, implementing, and integrating advanced lighting control systems for offshore wind projects, ensuring they meet customer needs and industry standards.
What you’ll do
Engineer end‑to‑end solutions: Specify, develop, and build a platform of innovative lighting control and management systems for offshore applications.
Define system architectures: Design complete solutions for offshore substations using Glamox MOW light and selected third‑party products.
Lead delivery phases: Drive design, integration, testing, acceptance, and handover—securing seamless integration into customers’ overall systems.
Collaborate globally: Guide customers, internal teams, and partners to ensure correct system design and application.
Ensure compliance: Manage partners/suppliers so requirements, standards, and certifications are consistently met.
Document effectively: Produce clear requirements, specifications, and project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
What you’ll bring
Education: University degree (preferably Master’s) in electrical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience: 5+ years with multi‑disciplinary system solutions—ideally marine/offshore electrical systems—covering system design, automation, electrical installations, and communication concepts (DALI, ModBus).
Expertise: Proficiency in at least two of: system engineering, light control, automation, electronics, system projects.
Tools & standards: Hands‑on with CAD and simulation software; knowledge of international lighting standards (e.g., IEC/EN, DNV).
Communication & ways of working: Excellent English (oral/written), strong influence skills in a multi‑disciplinary, international matrix; independent, structured, and proactive.
Mobility: Willingness for occasional international travel.
