About the Role

As a Senior Process Engineer at NOV APL, you will take a central role in the process system design and flow assurance of fluid transfer systems associated with turret mooring solutions for FPSOs and other oil and gas carrier vessels. You will work closely within a multidisciplinary engineering environment and develop safe, reliable, and high-quality fluid transfer systems. This position also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of emerging fluid transfer systems supporting green energy applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct general process system design and perform process calculations for offshore projects.

• Perform flow assurance assessments for flowlines and piping systems.

• Ensure designs comply with client requirements, industry standards, and applicable class rules.

• Prepare process design documents including PFDs, P&IDs, system design briefs, and other key deliverables.

• Participate in multidisciplinary reviews to develop safe and reliable system solutions.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment on technical expectations.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fluid mechanics or process engineering

• Proficient process engineer with solid system understanding and strong analytical competence.

• Strong knowledge of process standards, offshore standards, and class rules.

• Experience with HYSYS process simulations and other relevant software for fluid mechanics and process design

• Draft and develop system drawings with AutoCAD

• Structured, quality-conscious work style and the ability to work both independently and in teams.

• Strong communication skills in English.

Desired Qualifications

• Norwegian language skills.

• Experience with process valves and valve control systems

• Knowledge of mechanical process equipment
