We are seeking a leader who understands how people, processes and technology create competitiveness. As the Senior Vice President, IT in Kongsberg Maritime, you build partnerships and drive change with a strategic mindset and operational knowledge. Our IT colleagues are responsible for complex development projects where delivering business value on time and cost is essential. You will be part of the team that enables our IT operations to be secure and cost-efficient with services at the agreed level, availability and quality. The right candidate will challenge, optimize, develop, communicate and be a team player. You will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who leads the Technology and IT division.

The successful candidate will lead our IT Business Unit. IT enables our internal digital business transformation, secures intellectual property and provides a license to operate through regulatory compliance, cybersecurity and access control. The combination of IT and technology platforms enables our divisions to develop, deliver and support connected products with interoperability, lower cost, shorter time-to-market, better quality and longevity.

Key accountabilities:

• Strategic leadership with continuous focus on delivering on and renewing the IT strategy

• A manager who focuses on the people and facilitates their continuous growth

• Be a key driver of digital transformation and innovation initiatives while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

• Foster a culture of customer focus, curiosity and inclusiveness within the IT organization

• Build a cost-effective and flexible IT architecture fit for scalability

• Manage our portfolio of IT development projects and ensure they are delivered on time, cost, scope and quality

• Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster a healthy and inclusive work culture, secure cross-functional collaboration and have interpersonal skills

• Technical expertise in enterprise systems, integration architectures, cloud platforms and cybersecurity frameworks

• Financial acumen, proven performance in budgeting and cost optimization

• Knowledge and experience in multi-project coordination and problem-solving

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English, with the ability to present complex information clearly
