We are seeking a leader who understands how digital solutions, commercial execution and portfolio management create competitiveness. Digital Ocean is a key growth area within Kongsberg Maritime, delivering solutions that support efficiency, safety and sustainability for customers worldwide. You will build partnerships and drive change with a strong strategic and commercial mindset, combined with operational leadership experience. You will report to the Executive Vice President Digital & Emerging.

The successful candidate will lead the Digital Ocean business unit with full responsibility for profit and loss, strategy execution and operational performance. The role includes ownership of product and solution portfolios across the full lifecycle. You will drive growth through close collaboration with the broader KM organization and ensure that Digital Ocean strengthens Kongsberg Maritime’s position as a leading provider of digital maritime solutions. A key part of the role is to establish a common culture and direction across teams, delivering scalable, profitable and market-relevant offerings.

Key accountabilities:

• Strategic leadership with continuous focus on developing and executing the Digital Ocean strategy in line with Kongsberg Maritime’s overall goals
  

• Full profit and loss responsibility for the Digital Ocean business unit
  

• Develop people across an international organization and facilitate their continuous growth
  

• Drive portfolio management, product development, integration and lifecycle profitability of digital solutions
  

• Develop go-to-market strategies, driving increased contract intake through close collaboration with Kongsberg Maritime’s global sales organization and key customers
  

• Lead complex product development and delivery initiatives, ensuring quality, scalability and timely execution
  

• Build a strong commercial and performance oriented culture with clear priorities, governance, risk awareness and accountability
  

• Ensure adherence to QHSE standards, cybersecurity requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks
  

• Represent the business unit internally and externally with customers, partners and industry networks

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster a healthy and inclusive work culture and secure collaboration across functions, geographies and organizational levels
  

• Proven experience leading global technology or digital businesses with profit and loss responsibility
  

• Strong strategic and commercial understanding with demonstrated ability to drive growth and market positioning
  

• Experience with portfolio management, product lifecycle ownership and delivery of complex solutions
  

• Ability to lead organizations through change, integration and scaling in a matrix environment
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English, with the ability to present complex topics clearly
