Robotics Automation Engineer

Solwr Robotics develops innovative robotic systems to solve logistics challenges in the retail and trade industry. We currently have two products on the market:
Grab - an autonomous pick-and-place robot for warehouse operations
Sort - a high-speed, space-efficient pallet sorting machine
We are looking for a Robotics Automation Engineer to work closely with our development and delivery teams on the following tasks:
Develop robust and scalable PLC software for our robotic solutions.
Design and implement new automation solutions for prototyping and new robot platforms.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing PLC programs and robotic systems.
Test new features and actively contribute to debugging and performance improvements.
Support customers through technical analysis and issue resolution.
Participate in commissioning, testing, and debugging at customer sites.
Drive technical decisions and, depending on experience, mentor junior engineers.
Contribute to technical documentation.
Help maintain and update the automation bill of materials (BOM).
The position is based at our Ålesund office and will require some travel to customer sites.
You are a good fit for this role if you have one or more of the following qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Automation, Robotics or equivalent practical experience
Experience with PLC software development, preferably using Structured Text
Experience working with motors, sensors, and robotic systems
Fluency in both Norwegian and English (spoken; written proficiency is an advantage)
A strong interest in robotics, new technologies, and customer-facing work
