Build the Vision That Powers Real-World Robots
We are expanding the perception capabilities as we move from proof-of-concept to scalable production hence we are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer who wants real ownership, real autonomy, and the chance to see their algorithms running on robots in the field.
What You'll Do
You'll be a core contributor to the perception pipeline that allows our robots to understand and interact with the world. Your work will span algorithm development, sensor integration, and performance tuning on a deployed robotic platform.
Vision & Perception Development
- Develop algorithms for detection, segmentation, tracking, and 3D perception
- Build real-time vision pipelines robust to outdoor conditions
- Create tools for data collection, annotation, and evaluation
- Tune models for accuracy, stability, and field performance
Imaging & Sensor Integration
- Work hands-on with cameras, optics, illumination, and filters
- Collaborate on sensor placement and calibration with mechanical and electrical engineering teams
- Maintain calibration and configuration across deployed robots
Software Engineering & Deployment
- Develop maintainable vision software in Python and/or C++
- Integrate perception into the robot software stack (ROS/ROS2 or custom)
- Optimize algorithms for on-device and embedded execution
- Validate performance using real airport data and controlled datasets
You'll collaborate daily with senior software, robotics, electrical, and mechanical engineers, and you'll have a direct reporting line to the CTO.
What You Bring
- Solid experience in computer vision or perception (2D/3D, detection, segmentation, or similar)
- Hands-on work with real imaging hardware (cameras, optics, illumination)
- Strong Python and/or C++ skills
- Experience with frameworks like OpenCV, PCL, or deep learning stacks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Ability to take ideas from prototype to field-ready, practical solutions
- Comfortable working across code, lab setups, and real hardware
Nice to Have
- Robotics or automation experience
- ROS/ROS2 familiarity
- Sensor fusion (vision + IMU/LiDAR)
- GPU acceleration or optimization experience
- Experience developing custom imaging setups
Why join Roboxi?
- Real robots, real airports - Build autonomous inspection robots already and about to be deployed at major international airports.
- Cutting-edge autonomy & vision - Work hands-on with GPS navigation, real-time image processing, object detection, and robotics autonomy at a pivotal moment in the technology's evolution.
- Shape the product, shape the company - As a ~20-person scale-up, you'll have real ownership and influence over the platform, architecture, and roadmap.
- Momentum & growth - Backed by years of development with Avinor and now scaling fast, with multiple robots built this year and global expansion underway.
- Flexible roles for ambitious engineers - No rigid boxes. If you want responsibility, impact, and the chance to grow fast, Roboxi gives you the space to do it.
