The role
The CFO will have overall responsibility for Marine Benefit’s finance and accounting functions. The successful applicant will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and management team while ensuring robust financial governance and driving change initiatives. This will involve combining hands-on operational tasks with a mandate to support digitalization and process improvements.
Tasks
As Chief Financial Officer, you will lead and further develop the finance function at Marine Benefits. This includes responsibility for accounting, reporting, and financial planning.
You will ensure that financial reporting to management, the board, and stakeholders is both accurate and timely. This involves preparing quarterly and annual financial reports, as well as developing financial plans and monitoring their progress once implemented.
A key part of your role will be to drive digitalization and the automation of financial processes. You will oversee Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics, supporting data-driven decision making and further developing BI reporting within the finance function.
Managing liquidity, treasury, and capital allocation will also fall under your remit. You will follow up on reporting and contribute during contract renewals with underwriters.
Strategic planning and participation in board-level discussions are important aspects of the position. You will collaborate closely with the accounting team in Manila and with group functions in Norwegian Hull Club.
Finally, you will support the CEO by taking ownership of financial and strategic tasks where appropriate.

Our preferred candidate will also have a keen eye for detail, coupled with the highest standards of integrity.
Qualifications, skills and knowledge
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting. Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally from international organisations, is preferred. A strong track record of accounting, reporting and compliance duties is a requirement.
A solid understanding of BI tools and data analytics is needed for this position, together with demonstrable experience of strategic planning, change management and digital transformation. Applicants should also have a strong command of English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
