Etter at vi stengte butikken vår, sitter vi igjen med et utvalg antikke trykk som vi nå legger ut for salg her, til sterkt reduserte priser. Alle våre trykk er de originale avtrykkene slik datoen angir, og vi selger ikke moderne kopier. Vi selger kun ekte antikke trykk, og hvert trykk er grundig historisk undersøkt for å fastslå dets opprinnelse (se engelsk tekst nedenfor). Dette er ekte kunstverk med angitte designere, kunstnere og håndkolorering der dette er nevnt. Kjøper betaler fraktkostnader.

This is a beautiful LARGE FOLIO engraving, hand coloured, of Alexander the Great with his horse Bacephalus, from the 1679 second part of the "Teutsche Academie der Edlen Bau- Bild- und Mahlerey-Künste", published in Nuremberg; the author dedicated it to the “heroes of art and art-lovers” (meaning the artists and art collectors of his day). The book was structured according to the model already used by Giorgio Vasari in his biographies: The theory of the three arts precedes the biographies of the artists. The second part, published in 1679, expands the theoretical works on the genres with extensive antiquarian descriptions. A translation of the Ovid Metamorphoses paraphrase by Karel van Mander was included in this volume. In EXCELLENT condition, with slight foxing around upper and right edges. Please view images carefully. Joachim von Sandrart (12 May 1606 – 14 October 1688) was a German Baroque art-historian and painter, active in Amsterdam during the Dutch Golden Age. He is best known as an author of books on art, some of them in Latin, and especially for his historical work, the Teutsche Akademie.
