About the role:
As a Communications and Marketing Specialist you work closely with the Senior Communications Manager and colleagues across the Access & Operations and Impact & Implementation teams to develop dynamic, engaging communication and marketing materials, both digital and print.
You will develop high-quality external communication and marketing materials to strengthen the Laerdal Global Health (LGH) brand, build interest around our partnerships and impact, and raise awareness and pride across the Laerdal Group in LGH’s mission and achievements.
In addition to supporting core communication functions, you will contribute to marketing activities that enhance brand visibility, generate awareness of LGH’s work, and support sales and partnership goals.
Key responsibilities include:
Website: Updating and maintaining news and program pages of the LGH website via EpiServer, ensuring content accuracy, accessibility, and visual appeal.
Social media: Creating and managing engaging social media content (copy, visuals, and video), and driving growth, reach, and engagement across channels.
Email Marketing / Newsletter: Selecting, drafting, and distributing content for the quarterly LGH Newsletter via Eloqua, maintaining audience segmentation and campaign metrics.
Partner Communications: Supporting communications for and about high-profile partner programs (e.g., Safer Births Bundle of Care), including coordination with partners, developing content, organizing events, and managing the saferbirths.com website.
Marketing Campaigns: Supporting and implementing marketing campaigns aligned with organizational objectives and product or program launches.
Brand Consistency: Ensuring that all LGH marketing and communication materials align with Laerdal’s brand standards and guidelines globally.
What we are looking for:
We’re seeking a creative communicator with a passion for telling meaningful stories. You enjoy working in cross-functional teams and thrive in a mission-driven environment
Preferred qualifications:
Degree in communications, marketing, media or relevant field.
Experience with creating content for corporate/not-for-profit social media platforms, including creating visuals with tools like Canva and/or In-Design
Experience using or managing a CRM system / creating and distributing e-newsletters/campaigns
Experience editing websites using backend systems (EpiServer and others)
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with an aptitude to work with a diverse global team
Experience working with global organizations such as WHO, UNICEF and donors such as Gates Foundation, and low resource setting.
Excellent writing skills in English, French is a benefit
