On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Specialist Engineer – Marine Engineering to join an exciting project based in Oslo. This role involves taking a leading position in marine installation engineering and contributing to the successful execution of complex projects with high standards for quality, safety, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project-specific documentation (MDR, procurement plans, technical specifications, operational procedures, calculations).
• Perform design modifications and protection performance evaluations based on soil conditions.
• Participate in document reviews and ensure accurate as-built documentation.
• Follow up on subcontracted work (Survey, ROV, vessel operations, and other contracted services).
• Engage in client meetings and ensure HSE and quality requirements are implemented.
• Offshore supervision and monitoring.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools, checklists, and templates.
• Train new personnel and participate in tender work and R&D projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in marine installation and cable-laying operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• High attention to quality and on-time delivery.
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  
  

Work Experience

• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience within marine engineering.
• Offshore experience is required, preferably with cable-laying operations (export cables/interconnectors).
• Experience with vessel operations and subcontractor follow-up.
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
