Mechanical Design Engineer

Interwell is now looking for a role within our completion business line located in Voss. Completion is a fast-growing business segment within Interwell focusing on developing customized cutting-edge completion technology for our global customer base. In the company, we have professional expertise in many fields such as mechanical design, electronics, software, material science, elastomers, glass technology, and more.

At our Voss location, Interwell develops and manufactures advanced Glass Plugs and Sliding Sleeves, while driving innovation in glass technology to meet the growing demands of the energy industry.

Do you have one or more of these qualities, skills and/or experience?

• Creative problem solver

• Drive and execution ability of complex projects

• Product development processes and methodology

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Knowledge of CAD software

We are looking for mechanical engineer for our team, and both recent graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidates will be placed in the right role depending on the level of experience.

We are looking for engineers to, among other things, carry out product development, lead projects, contribute to the company's technological development and constantly develop a professionally strong working environment.

 An engineer in the completion department may have typical tasks such as:

• Participate in, lead and conduct product development projects from design to delivery 

• Perform product customization and similar sustaining activities

• Perform mechanical design, structural analysis and calculations  

• Hands on building of prototypes and conduct validation testing

• Prepare technical documentation for manufacturing of parts and product support 

• Communication, support and collaboration with suppliers, operations and sales departments  

• Checking and approval of design and technical documentation by fellow engineers  

• Technical investigation of equipment and reporting  

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and personal commitment to Interwell policies
