Commercial Manager / Director – Offshore Oil & Gas
Location: Oslo, Norway
Start date: As soon as possible
As Commercial Manager/Director at Esgian’s Offshore Rigs department, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, meeting sales targets, and supporting the company’s continued market expansion. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, requiring a results-driven professional who can balance new business development with nurturing long-term client relationships.
You will also collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client needs are aligned with Esgian’s offerings and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
Drive regional sales initiatives for Esgian’s product portfolio, ensuring alignment with market opportunities.
Identify and approach potential clients in the offshore sector, building strong relationships that lead to new business.
Maintain and grow partnerships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term collaboration.
Meet sales targets and budgets by delivering revenue growth aligned with company objectives.
Work closely with product management, research, and leadership teams to align client needs with Esgian’s offerings.
Represent Esgian at client meetings, conferences, and industry events to promote solutions and build networks.
Share market insights and client feedback to inform product development and enhance value delivery.
Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with management to support strategic planning.
Keep detailed records of client interactions and sales activities, ensuring accurate use of CRM tools for the rig team.
Actively contribute to the team’s social media presence to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.
Profile
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of proven sales experience preferably within the offshore Oil & Gas sector; relevant experience in other industries will also be considered.
Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
Experience using CRM systems and digital sales tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments and time zones.
Energetic, self-motivated, and passionate about the offshore and energy markets.
Friendly, approachable, and committed to fostering a positive team culture.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel as required.
Our offer
We offer a competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary, performance-based commission, and participation in Esgian’s stock option program.
Relocation to Norway not offered.
