As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for a: Method Engineer - Multidiscipline for an exciting project at Stord.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
Establish, update, and maintain construction methods and sequences.
Prepare constructability documents and implement construction and HSSE friendly design.
Contribute to establishment of schedules.
Follow up and verify that methods are reflected in project schedules.
Participate in design reviews, focus on constructability.
Organize and lead meetings as required.
Ensure involvement from the project’s personnel in development of construction methods.
Give input to lessons learned reports and workshops, give input to improvement of routines and procedures.
Communicate and collaborate with all areas within Method discipline, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Construction Engineering and Construction.
We think you should have:
Good knowledge of work processes within the discipline being carried out.
Minimum 2 years of experience in EPC processes within Topside and Facilities / Renewables segments.
Bachelor’s or technical degree. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
Skills in MS Office 365.
Good knowledge of Method Planner, Visual Construction Planning, and Autodesk NavisWorks.
Ability to manage Aveva E3D Design Constructability Engine.
Fluency in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
