About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced AI Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Oslo. In this role, you’ll design, deploy, and manage AI infrastructure to meet business requirements, including CPU/GPU orchestration and middleware tools. If you have strong technical expertise and enjoy solving complex challenges, this is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI solutions.

What You'll Do

• Communicate effectively with clients and manage relationships.

• Design and deploy AI infrastructure to meet business needs, including CPU/GPU and middleware orchestration.

• Troubleshoot and resolve major incidents with strong problem-solving skills.

• Deploy and manage monitoring and observability tools for AI clusters.

What We Are Looking For

• Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, SUSE)

• Programming languages: C, C++, Bash, Python

• Job schedulers: PBS, SLURM, Grid Engine, LSF

• Cluster management tools: xCAT, Bright Cluster Manager, War Wolf

• Monitoring tools: Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, Ganglia

• Compilers & Libraries: GNU, Intel, OpenMPI, CUDA, MPI

• Networking: InfiniBand/ROCE/UFM/Ethernet/DPU

• Parallel File Systems: GPFS, Lustre, Weka, BeeGFS

• NVIDIA GPU Management and CUDA toolkit

• Job scheduler installation and troubleshooting

• Kubernetes installation and configuration

• NVIDIA AI Enterprise (RunAI)

• Configuring and troubleshooting PFS like Lustre/GPFS

• Advanced Linux OS debugging and scripting (Bash, Perl, Python)

• ASM and cluster-aware disk configurations

• Responsible for storage, backup, recovery, monitoring, and reliability. 

• Should have experience with OpenShift storage (CSI, Ceph, NFS, S3). 

• Skilled in Ansible, GitOps, and observability tooling to automate Day-2 operations and recovery processes. 

• This role ensures data integrity, performance, and resilience for the platform. 

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of parallel programming (OpenMPI, MPI)

• GPU orchestration (MIG instance creation)

• Cloud infrastructure management (AWS/GCP)

• Cloud bursting techniques

Experience

Ideally 7+ years in relevant roles

IMPORTANT! Norwegian citizenship with a minimum of 10 years of continuous residency in Norway is an absolute requirement for this role since security clearance will be mandatory.
