Join our team as Lab Operation Lead!
The Lab Operation Lead will play a critical role in supporting the CMC Development teams by ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of the laboratories. Working closely with the research assistant of the pharmaceutical development team, this role will oversee GxP instrumentation, documentation, chemical management, and overall lab logistics. The role requires a proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Additionally, working in a hybrid lab environment (technical/GMP) a flexible and solution orientated attitude is required.
Laboratory Operations
Develop and implement standardized weekly/monthly lab routines according to Lean principles
Maintain oversight of lab equipment (non-GxP), including support maintenance of equipment in collaboration with instrument owners
Coordinate housekeeping and cleaning routines across the departments
Support onboarding new lab equipment and lab training new personnel (training, SOPs)
GxP Instrumentation & Documentation
Serve as the instrument responsible person for several GxP instruments
Oversee future instrument validation, lifecycle management, and qualification (URS, MOC, PQ/OP, SOPs).
Maintain and update laboratory documentation in compliance with GMP standards in collaboration with other team members.
Manage documentation for laboratory related deviations, change controls, and CAPAs in collaboration with other team members.
Support acquisition and onboarding of new GxP instruments
EHS & Compliance
Manage chemical inventory, ordering, storage, and disposal of chemicals (waste management)
Administer and troubleshoot chemical inventory system
Ensure compliance with waste management protocols and participate in pollution prevention initiatives
Administrative & Support Functions
Coordinate procurement of chemicals, consumables, and lab services such as instrument maintenance, including ordering, delivery and handling of invoices.
Monthly update meeting with relevant stakeholders
Operational contact person with Oslo Science Park OsloTech, support to large meetings and seminar preparations, support team activities
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a related field.
Experience in laboratory management and regulatory compliance, including GMP or accredited lab environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for multicultural, team-based settings
Skilled in drafting compliance documentation and collaborating proactively
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Fluent in English and Norwegian
