Backend Developer

A look at what you will do

• Use tech such as Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL, AWS Services, CI/CD
• Build and maintain Java Spring Boot and Spring Cloud services, used in our integrations
• Work on migrating our remaining services from a monolithic to a microservice architecture
• Design and implement APIs to ensure smooth service communication
• Continuously create exciting new products and features, collaborating closely with colleagues
• Write tests at different levels to ensure the quality in your code
• Identify and keep track of metrics that tell you how our software is performing
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and the business to increase value for our customers and partners
• Be creative and brainstorm ideas for ways we can further streamline our development

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in backend development, preferably within Java
• Excellent knowledge of Java (or similar languages)
• Knowledge of Spring Boot is preferable
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code and actively improve the quality of the codebase
• Give good reviews, and don't shy away from a constructive discussion
