You’ve got a neat piece of PSP-era nostalgia there!
This is a “Pro Media Director” 2-in-1 Saves & Media Disc that was sold at GameStop during the mid-2000s for the Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable). Here’s what it was used for:
Game Saves (500+ pre-loaded saves)
It contained a big library of save files for popular PSP games—unlocking levels, characters, infinite ammo, max stats, etc. Players could copy these saves onto their PSP’s Memory Stick Duo to skip grinding or unlock hidden content.
Media Transfer Software
It also included software for Windows 2000 and newer PCs that helped organize and convert music, movies, and photos into PSP-friendly formats (like MP4 for video). Back then, the PSP didn’t always natively support all media formats, so this software helped convert and manage them.
Branding
Sold under the GameStop label — “Power to the Players.”
Promoted as a “2-in-1: Saves & Media” solution.
Often came in this clear UMD-style plastic shell (like a PSP game disc).
Era
This was popular around 2005–2008, during the height of the PSP’s popularity, before Sony improved its own media software and before homebrew apps became common.
