Elliott Erwitt
Born in Paris in 1928 to Russian parents, he moved to the United States at age 11. At just 25 years old in 1953, he joined Magnum Photos through the recommendation of world-renowned photographer Robert Capa. His work brims with wit and humor, spanning diverse genres from newspaper and magazine photography to advertising. Major exhibitions of his photography have been held at leading museums worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
