Built from the same heat-treated 6061 aluminium tubes as our adult bikes, the Acid 240 Disc's frame is every bit as tough as a full-size mountain bike, but with the right weight and proportions for a child. Disc mounts allow the use of these powerful, safe and easy-to-use brakes. There's a bottle mount for mid-ride refreshment and rack mounts, too. The handling is designed to be both fun and confidence-inspiring. And, because we know accidents can happen, we made the gear hanger easily replaceable so that a knock or crash needn't result in an expensive repair.
Which young rider wouldn't like to race alongside their idols? With the Acid 240 Disc Actionteam they can ride a bike inspired by our full-size bikes, with all the features that our Actionteam riders would expect but scaled down to size.
This is the bike that all youngsters are going to want – light, strong and equipped with everything they'll need for off-road adventuring with friends and family. Hydraulic disc brakes are powerful and easy to control, with levers specially designed for small hands. The Suntour suspension fork improves comfort and control on rough trails, and the 8-speed, wide-ranging gears are easy to use and give a range that'll make light work of any hill. And every component, from the saddle to the handlebar and grips, is designed to fit smaller humans just right. Off-road adventures are just a few pedal strokes away...
