Full description
The Hoodlum is the ultimate allround survival knife. Based on a design by survival legend Ron Hood. Despite its format, this solid knife is light enough to wear on your belt. And strong enough for any heavy task that the wilderness has to offer.
Because of it's length, the Hoodlum is a knife which can be easily used for some heavier cutting tasks. That which you would usually do with a machete or light axe.
The blade is made of tough 5160 carbon steel with a blade length of 25.5cm and a thickness of 6.0mm. It is finished with a durable powder coating to improve corrosion resistance.
The handle is made of micarta with an integrated Shock Mitigation System (SMS). This system ensures that a significant portion of the shocks are absorbed during the felling and chopping. If required or useful, you can easily remove the handle to attach the blade to (for example) a long branch and turn the knife into a spear.
The heavy-duty nylon M.O.L.L.E. sheath ensures that the Hoodlum can be stowed safely and easily.
