Epiphyllum pumilum, commonly known as the Orchid Cactus or the Crenate Orchid Cactus, is an epiphytic cactus native to the tropical rainforests of Central America, particularly in regions of Mexico and Guatemala. Belonging to the Cactaceae family, this attractive plant is admired for its beautiful, fragrant flowers and its unique growth habit.
Epiphyllum pumilum features flat, elongated, and green stem segments that are usually notched or scalloped along the edges. These stems act as the plant's leaves, helping it photosynthesize and store water.
