Imatran Valtionhotelli is a hotel in Imatra, Finland, established in 1903 and still operating today. The architect behind this Art Nouveau castle is Usko Nyström. This glass ashtray is the merchandise of the hotel from the 1960s.
Aulis Halmetoja was a mid-century Finnish painter recognized by the Finnish National Gallery. As a core member of the Imatra Art Association, he was commissioned by the state-owned Imatran Valtionhotelli in the 1960s to sketch their famous castle facade.
