Mer informasjon på engelsk:
Based on the original document housed in their archive, this self-published title features English text carefully set over the German, retaining the authors’ rhyming verses and intended wit. It includes inserts from the original book and a new foreword by Curator David Willey.
Panther-Fibel was created as an engaging and easy-to-understand handbook to break the tradition of heavy-going technical manuals. Such sophisticated machines required considerable knowledge to keep them in action, so commanders sought to snag the interest of young tank crews with these light-hearted, well-illustrated handbooks. This reissue of Panther-Fibel is close to the original size (12.5cm x17.8cm – ideal for tankers’ pockets) and on identical paper for an authentic feel.
The translation and layout of this little book are superb, and it is an invaluable addition to anyone interested in German fighting vehicles.
