Floor lamp in nickel-plated finish. It is a quality product.
Finish: Brush finish nickel-plated surface gives the floor lamp a smooth finish which is nice to look at but is not shiny. Moreover overtime it doesn’t look tacky.
Shade: Black color fabric but still has nice sheen to give a soft glow.
Light: It takes three bulbs which can be regular or dimmable. And in-spite of black shade (because of three bulbs) the floor lamp provides more than sufficient light.
Connecting tube: With adjustable height and due to steel material the lamp is sturdy.
Base: Unlike and heavier than any other floor lamp in IKEA, base is constructed of cast-iron. And because of the cast-iron weight the floor-lamp-base heavy that it doesn’t move even if you bump into it.
Switch: A twistable Dimmer switch which is located near the base of lamp shade.
Cord: A black fabric cord instead of usual plastic finish electric cord.
But I am using Ecosmart 14 watt (60 watt equivalent) daylight color compact fluorescent bulbs.
For almost two years I have been looking for A lamp with similar quality and to date I found nothing else especially. Hence now I have two of THESE Floor lamps in two corners of my living room.
