We are looking for a Management Partner to support Nordea Life and Pension growth ambitions and help us build a strong organization. You will be a member of both the Norwegian Life & Pension’s and the Nordic Wealth Management Business Support’s management teams. The role will give you hands-on experience driving the Life & Pension business and a great overview of Nordea’s Wealth Management organization across the Nordics. You will add value in several strategic initiatives and attain in-depth knowledge about the Norwegian insurance market.

About this opportunity

Nordea Wealth Management consists of the following units: Life and Pension (NLP), Private Banking, Nordea Funds, Digital Wealth and Investment Center. Assets under Management (AuM) is ~ EUR 200 billion and number of employees ~1 800. Nordea NLP Group manages approximately EURb 45 in insurance-based investment products of which NLP Norway accounts for about EURb 13 and has an annual income of EURM 120 and 215 employees.

NLP Norway is pursuing an ambitious growth agenda and in the role as management partner you will be in the middle of all the action and excitement advising and supporting the CEO and the management team on various business critical topics and initiatives. Development and learnings will be plentiful, you will develop a network cross Nordea and you will have built an excellent platform for your next exciting position 2-3 years out in time.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing high quality analyses and decision-making proposals based on which executive management can make sound decisions
  • Preparing and facilitating management meetings as well as to drive/follow-up on action points
  • Acting as sounding board to the CEO of NLP Norway including proactively bringing issues that needs attention to the table
  • Supporting the CMO in client work and bid preparation
  • Developing high quality communication material to internal and external stakeholders incl. being responsible for the company’s intranet page
  • Leading projects / initiatives and drive the implementation of these
  • Providing various ad-hoc support to the CEO
  • Leading the social committee in both Oslo and Bergen
  • Being responsible for updating the company’s strategy report for the FSA

Your experience and background:  

  • A Master’s degree
  • At least 3-5 years relevant work experience (e.g. management consulting or equivalent)
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English
  • Excellent at PowerPoint, Word and Excel
