33 km north-west of Rovaniemi, L.Sonkajärvi 100 m (length 3 km, width 1 km), shallow, hard sand bottom, own boat. Village road between cottage and shore.

Wooden cottage, built 2009, living room/kitchen, bedroom with double bed, upstairs bedroom with two beds (120 cm wide), sleeping loft with convertible sofa and 2 mattresses. Balcony. Sauna (electric stove), washroom, toilet, glazed terrace.

In summer use separate lakeshore sauna 80 m. Steam room (wood-burning stove) and dressing room. Electric light. Lakeshore sauna and roofed grill (glazed) is partly shared with owner. Note: location can be booked for less than one week at all times of year.

Ounasvaara 36 km, Arktikum (museum) 33 km, Arctic Circle 45 km, Lehtojärvi cultural route/ back-packing route (includes bird watching tower and rock climbing location) 10 km.
