This charming Provençale country house is set in 1 ha grounds, 2.5 kms from the town of Draguignan. The garden is truly a little piece of paradise and around the pool it is transformed into a tropical beach with palm trees, wooden decking, a hammock and sun loungers around the private infinity swimming pool.
There are several areas for seating, where you can enjoy the spectacular views over the garden and pool, reading or a glass of wine. The pool is a free-form infinity pool and is fitted with an alarm installation for the safety of small children. There is also a solar-heated shower to use before and after swimming in the pool. A large pool house has a fully fitted summer kitchen with a fridge/freezer for cold drinks, a gas cooker/oven and a dishwasher and makes outdoor living the center of your holiday. There is also a build-in BBQ with a plancha next to a large dining table with seating for 8 people. The pool house also has a wifi connection available.
This detached Provençale 140 m2 country house has an open plan living space, which is suitable for up to 6 persons and 1 baby.
At ground level there is a porch, separate WC/shower room, open plan kitchen and a spacious and bright living room, which is tastefully decorated. There is a TV (Sky TV), surround sound system and free Wifi internet.
In the living room you find a cosy sitting area with fire place and a separate dining area with a large dining table, open plan large fully fitted kitchen with a 5-ring Smeg gas/electric cooker and oven, American fridge/freezer, Nespresso and filter coffee machine and a microwave oven. A center island with breakfast bar and Bombo bar stools makes a nice place to hang out and talk to the cook. The water in the house is filtered for limescale and the water in the kitchen tap and from the fridge is further filtered for heavy metals, pesticides, hormones etc, perfectly safe to drink - and it tastes great too! There is also a large pool house with a covered outdoor summer kitchen, where you find a gas cooker/oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle and wifi connection. In the house you also have a separate room with dishwasher and washing machine.
From the living room a staircase leads up to the 1st floor with 2 spacious bedrooms. All the bedrooms are refurbished in 2016 with characterful interior: 1 master bedroom with a double bed, a build-in wardrobe and en-suite private shower room with toilet and basin. From this bedroom patio doors gives access to a balcony, which offers magnificent views over the landscaped garden and beyond. The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds (which can be made into a double bed), a fitted wardrobe and en-suite shower room and basin. Bedroom 1 and 2 are equipped with mosquito nets. The 3rd bedroom has 2 single beds (which can be made into a double bed), a wash basin and patio doors to a terrace overlooking the garden. The 3rd bedroom has access to the newly fitted shower room/toilet on the ground floor.
From the living room there are 2 sets of glass doors opening onto a large covered terrace with dining table and a terrace with comfortable chairs. The doors let light into the house making the indoor environment light and bright. If you close the shutters during the warmest hours, you will have a cool interior to retreat to, when you want a break from the sun and heat outside.

Arrival is Saturday between 16.00 and 19.00. If you are delayed please let us know.
Departure is Saturday before 10.00. If you leave very early (before 08.00), you can return the key through the letterbox at our town house in Lorgues (the vet clinic at 3 Place du Revelin).

Obligatory end cleaning is paid on arrival and amounts to €140.
Optional bed linen is charged at €12.50 per person and bath towels (not to be used by the pool) at €10.00 per person paid on arrival.
Renters pay an obligatory tourist tax on arrival of €1.10 per person 18 years old or over per night. This is a tax to the French state, which we pass on.

Payment conditions:
There will be made a rental agreement in the booking process, where the tenant will pay 25% of the total rental price as a deposit within a week. 8 weeks before arrival the remaining 75% of the rent plus the safety deposit (€500) is paid. The deposit will be paid back to the tenant after successful end inspection of the property, at the latest 7 days after departure by bank transfer.

Activities:
The house is ideally situated for the fashionable resorts of the Cote d Azur to visit Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and St. Tropez. In the inlands you will find a wide range of activities such as cycling / mountain biking, swimming, horseback riding, tennis and hiking through the nearby vineyards. You can play golf (3 golf courses nearby). At about 35 minutes away from the natural beauty of the Gorges du Verdon, ideal for mountain climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, pedalos, e.g. We also recommend the waterfall of Sillans la Cascade, where you can enjoy hiking and swimming. Beach and sea from St. Maxime is reached within 45 min.
In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, cycling, riding , water sports, mountain climbing, hang-gliding, para-gliding.

There are many Provencal bistros and restaurants. Draguignan is the capital of the Var and there are many shops, restaurants, cafés and the Tuesday and Saturday market with many local products are highly recommended. Excellent wine chateaux and wine tasting are available anywhere in the area.

Bicycles can be rented in Vidauban, where you can choose between bicycles for all ages and purposes. They even deliver and collect the bycycles for a small fee - please ask for details. Riding and fishing are near by. Water sports and paragliding etc are activities, you can enjoy nearer the coast.

We are Malene and Phil, we live locally in Lorgues during the summer, so we are always on hand to have a cozy chat about any problems you may have during your stay or information about the area and what it has to offer. We speak English, Danish (Malene) and French (mostly Malene). Phil takes care of swimming pool and keeps it clean and maintained during the season. We also take care of the garden during the season.

Our group of 3 couples stayed for a week in July. The house worked well for us and we particularly enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and the lovely outdoor dining terrace. The pool area is nicely landscaped with a great outdoor kitchen and the pool itself was perfect.

We stayed in 'Un petit coin de paradis' the last week of June and we loved the house and the grounds around it. The house is incredibly clean and very well equipped. The drinkable tapwater, the icecubes, the fully equipped outdoor kitchen at the pool, three bathrooms , perfect outside breakfast and dining area's and great sunbeds etc etc made our stay memorable.
Also the (mail) contact with Malene and Phil was very speedy and friendly.
We hope to come back again!
