One of adidas Skateboarding's most succesful models in the past couple years, and my personal favourite, it the Lucas Premiere. A perfect balance between lightweight breathability and versatile durability, the model has been given a few design notes. Here we have the first mid-height silhouette.
The uppers are made from a blend of mesh around the sides and perforated leather to the toe, which promotes air flow and can stand its ground against griptape. It has an external rubber heel cap for support and stability and the ankle is lined and cushioned for comfort. To the heel a leather patch adds strength. On the inside it has a moulded PU sockliner for shock-absorption and board feel.
The sole is made from vulcanised rubber with a doubled up midsole and a toe bumper. The tread has a grippy herringbone design to keep you on your feet. As far as design goes, this is pretty minimal and elegant - a simple tongue tag is all you need.
With some proper tennis vibes, these shoes are made in Lucas Puig's personal image and style.
