Descaling
The Philips DST5030/20 has a descaling button that makes it easy to remove limescale deposits from the iron. Activate this once a month with regular tap water and you will have an iron that always delivers at its best.

Ironing tips
Textiles with embroidery, sequins, lace, etc. should be ironed at a low temperature.
If you are not sure what materials are involved, try ironing on the lowest temperature in an inconspicuous area. Gradually increase the temperature until you get the desired result.
Do not iron garments that have sweat stains or other discoloration. The heat will cause the discoloration to penetrate the fabric and later become impossible to remove.
Many textiles are easier to iron when they are slightly damp. Silk, for example, should always be ironed with steam. Actually its a bery good model. Working fine and
