The Squale 30 ATMOS Horizon GMT Ceramica - Limited Edition Ref.1545HORCE is the latest model introduced by Squale. Only 150 pieces of this will be made Making this extremely collectible in years to come. The Horizon GMT Ceramica is not limited edition serialized. Made in Switzerland and powered by a Swiss Made ETA 2893-2 automatic movement with quickset GMT and date function.
The most appealing part of this watch is of course the two tone bezel. It is extremely difficult to make 2 tone ceramic bezel. In this case a black upper half to represent the night and a blue lower half to represent the afternoon. It is difficult to pen the looks of the bezel insert. It certainly looks very much different from the more serious all black ceramic bezel on the 30 ATMOS GMT Ceramica. The two tone ceramic bezel adds some fun to the watch.
The ceramic bezel is first cut into shape and than the numbers are carefully engraved by machines made specially for this purpose. Next, the engraved ceramic bezel is super heated to 1500 degrees to harden and purify the ceramic. The engraved numerals on the hardened bezel is than carefully filled with radium looking enamel paint. The excess paint on the surface of the bezel is than polished to a high gloss leaving only the numerals filled permanently. Not only will the colors never fade, but the scratch-resistance properties of ceramic are so impressive that the bezel will retain its "brand new" looks for years to come.
