«Yamaha PSR-7 is a portable keyboard synthesizer released by Yamaha in the late 1980s. The PSR-7 features a 49-key keyboard, a built-in auto-accompanist system. It also has a built-in drum/bass rhythm machine. The PSR-7 is capable of producing limited pre-set sounds ie some acoustic instruments to simple synthesizer type tones. It has sustain mode (a very simple reverb/delay) and doubling (two presets at once) which reduced thd number of voices it can play at one time in 1/2 (a potential of 8 to 4) Used the "DASSystem" dual synthesis architecture (PCM samples + 2 Op FM) than Yamaha released in the late 80s/early 90s. The sysnthesis is based on the GEW5 chip, which is used in the SY22/35/TG33 synthesizers.»
