XLogic Alpha-Link MADI SX from SSL is a fully featured, unit that provides high-quality twenty-four channel AD/DA converter circuitry to and from MADI and AES/EBU formats.
The converter features simple front panel controls that offers a comprehensive input/output routing matrix used to set up global connections between the various inputs and outputs, which in turn allows all combinations possible.
The front panel of the unit sports a headphone connector, a comprehensive metering section for the analog inputs and outputs, an AD/DA selection button, mode indicator LEDs, and twenty-four tri-color level LEDs.
The XLogic Alpha-Link MADI SX can be used as a stand-alone format converter, but used in combination with a Soundscape Mixpander PCI card, it provide a powerful and highly flexible input/output solution for native PC-based audio workstations.
Analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converter with twenty-four analog inputs and outputs at up to 96kHz
Twelve stereo AES/EBU digital inputs and outputs
Fifty-six or sixty-four MADI digital inputs and outputs at up to 48kHz, twenty-eight or thirty-two at up to 96kHz
Word/SuperClock input and output
Video Sync input functionality available at the WordClock input. The video sync signal can be converted to Wordclock internally and transmitted via the Wordclock output
MIDI input and output
Connects to Mixpander via Expansion Bus port
All input and output channels can be used simultaneously in any configuration
