Dual Classic Preamp
Based off the Classic Rupert Neve 1073 preamp, the Alctron MP73X2 is a dual channel, discrete, transformer coupled preamp that sounds excellent on any number of sources, with excellent headroom and warmth. It is ideal for stereo recordings as well. It comes complete with custom transformers from Alctron for both the line and mic inputs as well as the XLR output. It features a fully discrete signal path with two separate transformers for the input and output that offer a tone of analog warmth and further enhances the MP73X2’s performance. The discrete path is a tried and true classic and coveted design in the audio industry for a reason. Also, the chassis is made from high quality steel to provide extra shielding against stray electromagnetic and RF interference.
