Key Operating Instructions for PS-1688
Power & Setup: Slide the switch underneath to turn on. The screen will show a flashing number (mode). Use the [+] or [-] buttons to cycle through the 38 pre-programmed modes.
Selecting Modes: Press the center button (often labeled with a checkmark or play icon) to confirm the chosen mode.
Common Settings (e.g., G/90;inc30): Select mode 18 for 90 minutes with 30-second increment.
Starting/Pausing: Press the center button to start the game. Press it again to pause.
Adjusting Time: In many modes, you can hold down the center button to enter setup mode, then use +/-, then center to adjust.
Lever Position: Ensure the lever is upright on the side of the player who has white.
Modes and Features
Modes 01-38: The clock includes standard game, increment (Fischer), and delay (Bronstein) settings.
Sound: The sound can usually be toggled on/off within the setting menu.
Manual Adjustment: If needed, you can stop the clock and hold down the set key (center) for 3 seconds to manually adjust the time.
