The Rossignol Hero Elite Short (often marketed as Hero Elite ST / “Short Turn”) in 162 cm is a slalom-inspired, race-carving piste ski built for skiers who want instant edge engagement, high grip, and rapid turn shape on groomed terrain. It’s tuned for tight, technical arcs with a lively, energetic exit, while staying composed at speed thanks to Rossignol’s race-derived stability tech. 
Under the hood, the ski pairs Line Control Technology (LCT) with a Beech PEFC wood core and a full Titanal layer to reduce unwanted ski chatter/counter-flex and keep the ski tracking cleanly through the turn. A Rectangular Full Sidewall construction drives strong edge hold and precision on firm snow, and a subtle tip rocker helps the ski start turns decisively without feeling hooky. 
In real-world terms, the Hero Elite Short/ST is known for feeling quick edge-to-edge, “snappy,” and confidence-inspiring when you’re linking lots of short turns—yet still capable of stretching into longer arcs when you dial it back.
