With its continued excellence in sound reproduction, Onkyo has once again created a powerful, Blu-ray compatible A/V receiver for the home theater enthusiast, the TX-SR707 7 x 100W 7.2-Channel Home Theater Receiver. It features THX Select2 Plus Certification, (6) HDMI (ver. 1.3a) Deep Color inputs, enabling an effortless, high-bandwidth transfer of video and audio signals to the latest HDTV 1080p displays, and 1080p video upconversion with Faroudja DCDi Cinema Technology. In addition, Onkyo includes Burr Brown 192KHz/24-bit audio processing and built-in Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD Master Audio decoders to create a wider, more enveloping surround-sound experience; and its low-noise signal output is achieved with a High Current Power Supply (H.C.P.S.).
Moreover, this receiver presents superb functionality that will be hard to match. Onkyo exclusives like Dual Aureus 32-bit DSP chips, Dual Push-Pull Amplification, Three-Step Inverted Darlington circuitry, Audyssey DSX, MultEQ Room Correction, and Wide Range Amplifier Technology (WRAT) offer the cleanest signal on the market. THX Select2 Plus Certified
THX Select2 Plus specifications are designed to address the growing needs of the newest generation of home entertainment enthusiasts with smaller home theater environments. THX Select2 receivers also feature proprietary THX technologies, which accurately translate movie soundtracks for home theater playback. THX Loudness Plus, improves how you experience movies at lower volume levels. To counteract the loss or distortion of ambient and bass sounds at lower volumes.
HDMI (Ver. 1.3a) x6 Switching with 1080p with Faroudja DCDi Upscaling
This unit features (6) HDMI (Ver. 1.3a) 1080p Deep Color inputs with (1) conveniently located on the front-panel. In addition, its 1080p HD upconversion is achieved with a powerful Faroudja DCDi Cinema processing chip; it drastically reduces video noise without sacrificing image quality and sharpness. HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable.
7.2-Channel Digital Audio Decoding
It uses specific Dolby Digital/DTS codecs and Cinema DSP Digital to reproduce an enveloping surround-sound experience. The unit decodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Pro Logic IIz, DTS, DTS 96/24, DTS-ES Discrete/Matrix 6.1, and DTS Neo:6. It also decodes the following HD audio formats: Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD Master Audio.
The dynamic range of this receiver is so well balanced and matched that the center, front and rear channels blend seamlessly.
DTS-HD Master Audio and High-Resolution Audio
This powerful receiver is Blu-ray audio compliant; it offers both DTS-HD Master Audio and High-Resolution technologies. DTS-HD Master Audio supports bitrates up to 24.5Mbps, 7.1 discrete channels of 96KHz/24-bit audio, and is ideal for HDMI Version 1.3a cables. DTS-HD High-Resolution Audio also offers 7.1 discrete channels of 96KHz/24-bit audio, but only supports bitrates up to 6Mbps.
Audyssey DSX
Audyssey DSX (Dynamic Surround Expansion) delivers multi-channel information from the required directions to overcome the limitations faced by 5.1 surround sound systems. The extra channels are called Left and Right Wide, Height, and Back Surround, and each requires its own speaker.
Audyssey MultEQ
For enhanced room acoustics, Onkyo's Audyssey MultEQ technology is included with this powerful receiver. This technology detects speakers, and then sets levels, delays and crossovers, as well as measuring room acoustics. It is designed to work with home theater systems to create a larger, fuller listening area without distorting the sound.
Audyssey Dynamic EQ
When the output volume is adjusted, this feature selects the best possible frequency response and surround sound levels with minimal audio distortion.

It's the Wide Range Amplifier Technology (WRAT) that will fill your room with noise-free, impressively powerful, true-to-life sound. With a broader frequency range and lower harmonic noise entering the signal path, it's perfectly suited for new high resolution DVD-Audio and SACD formats.
Burr-Brown 24-Bit Audio Processing
Burr-Brown 196KHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converters are the backbone to the receiver's exceptional multi-channel audio conversion. By executing an accurate sound-field reproduction and reducing analog noise in the signal path, it's capable of reproducing an enveloping audio signal that is unsurpassed.
Music Optimizer Technology
Onkyo's Music Optimizer technology is designed to improve the quality of compressed audio signals such as MP3 and AAC files. Compressed music loses a substantial amount of bit information at higher frequencies, so the Music Optimizer technology works to overcome this limitation and improve audio quality. This function only works with PCM digital audio input signals with a sampling rate below 48KHz and analog audio input signals.
RIHD (Remote Interactivity Over HDMI)
RIHD allows CEC-compatible components or RIHD-compatible components connected via HDMI to be controlled via the AV receiver and offers at least (3) key benefits: 1) A standby mode, 2) volume control, and 3) a direct change function.

Theater Dimensional Circuitry

Sirius Satellite Radio Ready
