"Over the course of 12 hectic days in February and March 2011, Tom Sandberg - one of Norway's most distinguished photographers - documented the Nordic World Ski Championships in Holmenkollen, Norway. His immersion in this huge, festival-like event yielded a collection of pictures which, with consistent enthusiasm, capture the poetry in the thrust of a ski pole, the atmosphere among the spectators, the forest, the magical light - everything that helped transform this competition into a fairy-tale adventure. Accompanied by the author Henrik H. Langeland's texts, Sandberg's images return us to moments we all shared during those magnificent days. The result: an extraordinary album of memories of a unique event."
